KWN 2007
2007 marked the 3rd successful year for the Panasonic Kids Witness News competition in New Zealand. The quality of the submissions improves every year and proved very hard for the judges to choose a final winner. We must congratulate Ngatea Primary School who won the best Overall New Zealand winner for the second consecutive time. Their winning entry "Eco Energy" showed how we can save energy and power in our homes. Two students and a teacher from the school recently traveled to Singapore for the regional KWN contest where they won the "Best Artistic" award. Ngatea has also been successful on coming runner up with their video "Kiwis saving Kiwis" which was great at showing what steps are in place to save our national bird and icon. Kauri Park School was the second runner up with their "Enviro-School" entry. It showed how their school cares for the environment and practices in place to maintain it.
